These enforcement orders were issued last month following inspections that uncovered significant pest infestations.Kebab House and Georgian Delight, both located in the Moore Street Mall, were ordered to shut their doors immediately. Inspectors discovered dead mice and mouse droppings on these premises during their visits on 31 March.Two other businesses in the same mall, Dailo Nepali Kitchen and Tiramisu Mania, were also closed by environmental health officers. These closures were triggered by the discovery of active cockroach infestations within the food preparation areas.Spicy Bite, situated in the Moore Mall on Moore Street, faced a similar closure order late last month. This establishment was forced to stop operating on 25 March after evidence of cockroaches was found.While some of these businesses have remained closed, others have since reopened to the public. Dailo Nepali Kitchen, Tiramisu Mania, and Spicy Bite all resumed trading on 10 April.In Fairview, the Eurospar on Annesley Bridge Road was also subjected to a temporary closure order in early March. Health inspectors noted an active cockroach infestation at this retail premises before it was cleared to reopen.An unusual case was reported in Navan, where a food business named Bruno Gomes was shut down while operating from a domestic dwelling. Inspectors found meat being air-dried in a bedroom without any temperature or hygiene controls.The FSAI highlighted that raw meat products were tied to plastic crates and placed next to a radiator for processing.
