Cause of Navotas landfill fire still under probe, says BFP
MANILA, Philippines — The cause of the fire at the Navotas sanitary landfill facility, which affected the air quality in nearby cities, remains under investigation, the Bureau of Fire Protection said Monday. The blaze broke out on Friday night and was under control on Sunday but has yet to be extinguished, Fire Superintendent Anthony Arroyo, BFP spokesperson, said during a Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon interview on state-run PTV.
