Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner are true Beliebers as they show their love for Justin from the Coachella crowd
Justin Bieber's hotly anticipated comeback at Coachella fell flat with many of his fans as he performed his set in a hoodie and streamed songs from his laptop. However his celebrity pals including Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner showed their love for the pop star as he headlined the festival for the first time on Saturday night. Taking to Instagram, reality star legends Kim and Kylie both shared videos of Justin's set in the dessert as they stood in the VIP area alongside the singer's wife Hailey. Kim, who recently broke her silence on her controversial photoshoot with Justin from 2010, shared a clip of Justin singing hit YUKON as several spotlights hit the stage. Meanwhile Kylie and friends could be heard screaming as she filmed the Baby hitmaker setting off fireworks at the end of his performance. She wrote: 'AHHHHHH @JustinBieber'. During Justin's set Kylie was spotted cosying up to boyfriend Timothée Chalamet as the couple danced in the crowd together. The couple, who have been together since earlier 2023 and were spotted last year at the festival packing on the PDA, looked happier than ever as they danced in the crowd. It seems Kylie and Timothée attempted to keep a low-profile as he rocked a camouflage baseball cap and a purple bandanna over his face, protecting himself from the dust storms. Festival goers were so excited to see the headliner perform that the whole event had been dubbed 'Bieberchella' among fans, who couldn't wait to see his stage return. However, rather than returning with a bang, the star left some of his fans disappointed as they branded the performance 'lazy', with debate centered on his unconventional staging and focus on new music. In stark contrast, the Day 1 headliner - Sabrina Carpenter - had served up a polished performance with several outfit changes and impressive staging.Ahead of the event, many had shared their desperation to hear Bieber play some of his old hits, but these were only heard in snippets as he sang along to YouTube clips. The 32-year-old pop act has appeared as a surprise guest artist four times at the festival in support of Ariana Grande, Chance the Rapper, Daniel Caesar and Tems. But on a late-night set on Day 2 of this year's festival, he made his debut at the top of the bill, delivering a set for which he was reportedly paid $10million.His set was scheduled for an already late 11.25pm start time, and rumors circulated in the run-up to his set that the high desert winds might delay him even further.Although he arrived on time to a burst of cheers and applause, he emerged dressed down in shorts, a hoodie and shades and proceeded to launch into a string of his lesser-known recent numbers, mostly neglecting his older hits. Not everyone was let down, as some admitted they thought the show was 'raw and stripped back', especially the segment where Justin sat on a stool with his laptop next to him, pulling up old videos and checking the livestream to see what people wanted. This is insulting to his fans,' fumed one.Others wrote: 'I hate the outfit sucks band and the low rent hip hop,' and: 'Justin Bieber got paid 10 million just to walk around this damn stage??''That's what happens when you sell your catalog and you're only left with your last album that nobody knows,' theorized another viewer.Another saw a 'night and day difference' between his low-key set and the high-energy extravaganza offered up by Sabrina Carpenter the previous night.'Sorry biebs but it snot giving,' one fan said gently, while another reacted more scathingly: 'justin rlly up there headlining coachella w/ just a mic & his macbook??'Some even branded his show 'the worst in the festival's history', while others questioned why he'd been paid such an eye-watering amount, and called for a production on par with previous headliners.Bieber's concert had been highly anticipated after he was forced to abandon his 2022 tour due to health concerns after being diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome.
