Indeed, according to M&S, the most important addition to a woman's lingerie selection this spring is its 'invisible thong'.The ultra-brief briefs are part of the retailer's new Body Invisibles line, a range of no-show lingerie solutions described as seamless, smooth, cooling and imbued with 360-degree stretch that boasts of giving the wearer all-day comfort combined with a barely-there fit.The 300-piece collection aims to bring bras, briefs and shapewear into one streamlined, cohesive system, making it easier for time-pressed shoppers to find underwear that works for their bodies. To back this up, bra sizes run from 30A to 46H.Bar the 'invisible thong', the rest of the range is surprisingly wearable. Ann Summers this is not. Kim Kardashian's SKIMS brand of underwear appears to have inspired M&S's latest range M&S has unveiled a new Body Invisibles line - a 300-piece collection aims to bring bras, briefs and shapewear M&S bodysuit from the new collection (left), priced at £28, and Skims's version of the product (right), at £74But it's only in response to consumer demand. A survey by M&S found that 99 per cent of its customers prioritise comfort, while 68 per cent can't wait to take off their bras at the end of the day.Another no-no was the dreaded VPL (visible panty line), leading to the development of knickers with seamless, laser-cut edges. Those who prefer their bras and knickers to feature love hearts or lace may find the plain, utilitarian look of the new range a little hard to stomach. But what it lacks in decoration, it makes up for in other ways – such as its ability to look 'invisible' on a wider range of skin tones. In addition to black, white and putty, the collection includes three different shades of brown. Some styles and shades don't look dissimilar to those sold by Ms Kardashian's label. But where a Skims bra typically costs £62, M&S's version costs £18.A Skims seamless thong, meanwhile, will set you back a hefty £20. At £14 for a pack of three, by comparison, M&S's version is going for a thong.
