Fresh tensions appear to be surfacing around Kanye West after he reportedly misread the nature of Kim Kardashian’s rumored relationship with Lewis Hamilton. According to insiders, West initially dismissed the connection as a short-lived fling. That assumption, sources now claim, has not aged well.
“Kanye assumed this would be a fling,” one insider said, adding that it has since become clear the bond may be “a lot more” than he expected. The situation reportedly escalated after images surfaced of Kardashian spending time in Tokyo with Hamilton, accompanied by three of her four children: Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
“The sight of Kim and Lewis posing with his kids, Saint, 10, Chicago, 9, and Psalm, 6, 12, like a big happy family, really set him off,” the source said (via Star Magazine), describing West’s reaction as intense even though the former couple separated more than five years ago. Notably, their eldest daughter, North, was not present on the trip.
The latest developments appear to have reopened a familiar point of friction between the former spouses’ access to their children. West has previously expressed frustration with the custody arrangements, claiming he does not have equal time. “How’s it joint custody?” he said in an earlier interview.
Kardashian, however, has consistently pushed back on that narrative. Speaking publicly last year, she maintained that she has never stood in the way of their children seeing their father, insisting she allows access whenever he asks. “Every time he has asked, I will always let them see their father. That’s just who I am.”
West’s reported frustration may also be affecting his marriage to Bianca Censori. Sources say his recent outbursts have not gone unnoticed, describing them as “a massive turn-off” for his wife. “What Kanye doesn’t seem to grasp is that all his ranting and raving only makes things worse for him,” the insider added.
