Vietjet increases holiday capacity for Vietnam’s peak travel season
Vietjet has increased capacity by adding 130,000 seats across its domestic network from 25 April to 5 May 2026 to meet rising travel demand during Vietnam’s peak holiday period.
The flights increase total seat capacity to 832,000 seats, an 18 per cent increase year-on-year.
The airline is offering a limited-time promotion until 2am on 11 April (AEST), offering up to 20 per cent off Deluxe, SkyBoss and Business fares with the promo code SALE20 (excluding taxes and fees).
The offer is valid for travel through to 31 August 2026 for travel across Vietjet’s entire network, including flights linking Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth with Ho Chi Minh City. Bookings are available via www.vietjetair.com or the Vietjet mobile app.
The extended public holiday this year, covering the Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day and the Reunification Day–International Labour Day period, is expected to be one of the busiest travel seasons in Vietnam, second only to the Lunar New Year (Tet).
For Australians heading to Vietnam for the holidays, the added flight capacity provides more convenient connections to high-demand domestic routes connecting major cities and tourism hubs, including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Hue, Quy Nhon, and Phu Quoc. With stable operations across both domestic and international networks, Vietjet is well positioned to accommodate increased passenger traffic while maintaining operational efficiency.
Advisors are encouraged to book early and with passengers encouraged to complete online check-in via Vietjet’s website or mobile app prior to arriving at the airport for a smoother travel experience during peak periods.
The added holiday capacity follows further Asia Pacific expansion, with new connections recently announced for Da Nang–Jakarta, Nha Trang–Singapore, and Hanoi–Shizuoka.
