IMI launches Solo Membership for entrepreneurs and small business leaders
The Irish Management Institute (IMI) has launched a new membership offering designed for entrepreneurs, founders, independent professionals and leaders in scaling and small business.
Solo Membership offers individuals access to high-quality learning, practical insight and a trusted peer network as a time when Irish business leaders are operating under acute pressure.
The latest IMI Leadership Pulse survey points to a business environment shaped by economic uncertainty, geopolitical volatility and rising regulatory complexity.
Based on a dataset of 218 senior leaders in Ireland, the research found that 43% leaders in Ireland said clear priorities and explicit trade-offs are the leadership behaviour that most strengthens competitiveness under pressure.
The same proportion said the fastest way to undermine competitiveness is when everything is treated as urgent with no trade-offs.
A further 45% of leaders said digital transformation is the hardest priority to deliver without changing day-to-day behaviours and rituals, especially for smaller businesses trying to grow while adapting at pace.
Solo Membership offers year-round access to IMI’s leadership ecosystem, including Breakfast Briefings, Peer Learning Seminars, event recordings and thought leadership, the IMI Knowledge Centre, a micro-learning platform, and preferential campus rates.
Solo Membership is available at €795 + VAT and is valid for one year from enrolment.
IMI said the Solo Membership will make a real difference for entrepreneurs and leaders of small businesses where leadership capacity is often stretched and every decision carries disproportionate weight.
Solo Membership is intended to help leaders in those environments stay close to the latest thinking, benchmark their challenges with peers, and access learning that is practical, relevant and immediately useful for their growth ambitions.
“Solo Membership is about supporting the people building and leading businesses every day, often without the depth of support available in larger organisations," said Gary Berney, head of membership at IMI.
"Entrepreneurs and small business leaders are central to Ireland’s economic strength, but they are also facing very real pressures.
"Solo Membership gives them access to practical insight, relevant learning and a valuable peer network they can draw on as they grow and lead.”
Shane O'Sullivan, CEO of IMI.
Shane O’Sullivan, CEO of IMI, said: “Entrepreneurs and small business leaders play a vital role in the Irish economy. They create jobs, drive innovation and lead through uncertainty every day.
"Solo Membership reflects IMI’s commitment to backing that ambition — by giving founders, owner-managers and independent leaders access to the kind of learning, challenge and connection that can help them make better decisions and build stronger businesses.”
