Reservations for the Kia EV2 are now open in the UK, with first customer deliveries scheduled for later in 2026. Pricing starts at £27,995 for the ‘Air’ variant with the 61.0 kWh battery, reduced to £24,245 with a £3,750 reservation saving. The ‘First Edition’ with the smaller battery is priced from £28,495, or £26,995 with a £1,500 saving. The standard-range version delivers 107.5 kW and accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 8.7 seconds, while the long-range variant produces 99.5 kW with a 0 to 62 mph time of 9.5 seconds. Torque is rated at 250 Nm across all versions, with a top speed of 100 mph.The EV2 uses 400V architecture and supports DC fast charging from 10 to 80 per cent in 29 minutes for the standard-range battery and 30 minutes for the long-range version. These include active air flaps, underbody covers and flush door handles, contributing to a drag coefficient of 0.29, according to the carmaker. The vehicle measures just over four metres in length and offers a 2.6 metre wheelbase, enabling a flat floor and increased interior space. Boot capacity is 362 litres, expanding to 1,201 litres with the rear seats folded.The EV2 has been fitted with the Navigation Cockpit (ccNC), featuring dual 12.3-inch displays and a 5.3-inch climate control touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, alongside over-the-air updates and a new AI Personal Assistant. Kia states that the system ‘comprehends complex contexts through natural language understanding’ and can assist with navigation, vehicle functions and infotainment.The EV2 also supports Plug & Charge and Kia CarPay as standard.The EV2 was first unveiled at the beginning of this year.
