Deadline approaches for Visa's €90k funding and mentorship initiative for businesswoman

There is less than week to go before the deadline for applications from women entrepreneurs for Visa's She's Next programme. The programme offers five small Irish businesses with a total of €90,000 in business funding together with expert coaching from some of Ireland's most respected businesswomen, including Sculpted by Aimee CEO Aimee Connolly, former Primark boad member Breege O'Donoghue and Grá Chocolates founder Gráinne Mullins. Four winners will each receive €10,000, and one overall winner will claim €50,000. In addition to mentoring from the three businesswomen, the winners will also receive individual and group pitch preparation sessions and access to ongoing supports available through Visa’s She’s Next alumni network  The mentors agreed on three defining factors for success in business: backing yourself, seeking mentorship early and not when you're struggling and perfection being the enemy of progress. The programme is open to small businesses and organisations in the Republic of Ireland that are majority owned by women, operating across all industries and sectors. The deadline for applications is next Thursday, 9 April. To enter, applicants are asked to complete a short submission on visa.ie/shesnext. To date, Visa’s She’s Next grant programme has awarded €215,000 in funding and coaching to 20 women entrepreneurs in Ireland to help them take their next business step. Last year’s winners were Claire Fullam of  Remi Scalp Care, who received the overall €50,000 prize; Marian Kennedy of  Anewmum; Sinéad Ryan of Little Fitness; Denise Walsh of Curly Co; and Lisa Kleiner of Nibbed Cacao.
