Prince Harry and Meghan 'will be invited' to royal wedding leaving William 'unhappy'

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will bag an invite to this summer's royal wedding, an expert has predicted. But that is likely to go down poorly with Prince William. It was confirmed on Wednesday that Peter Philips, the son of Princess Anne, will wed NHS nurse Harriet Sperling. The couple became engaged last year and will tie the knot at All Saints Church, Kemble in Cirencester. The King and Queen, as well as the Prince and Princess of Wales were made aware of the announcement and are expected to attend. But there are question marks over other royals, including the likes of Princess Beatrice and Eugenie, currently suffering from the fall out of their parents friendship with Jeffrey Epstein. But former royal butler Grant Harrold reckons Harry will be on the guestlist, given how close the royal cousins were growing up. Speaking on behalf of CasinoHawks, Mr Harrold insists Philips will want Harry there on the day.READ MORE: Harry and Meghan to be 'blown out the water' if under-the-radar royal couple sign Netflix dealREAD MORE: King Charles 'worried' Harry and Meghan will make 'everything worse' on Australia tripHe said: "I think it’s very likely that Peter will invite Harry and Meghan to the wedding. Weddings are a chance to bring the family together. All the cousins were very close growing up, of course they were all sharing this very unique experience of growing up in royalty."They spent a lot of time together. They’re not as close now of course, but they still share that family bond. But if Harry and Meghan accept the invitation is another story altogether."Harry has indicated his reluctance to bring his family to the UK without taxpayer-funded security, with the issue deepening the ongoing rift between the Sussexes and the other royals. But there have been signs of a thaw in relations, at least with his father King Charles. His brother Prince William is a different story. He remains furious at Harry's personal attacks and Mr Harrold added: "If Harry and Meghan do attend the wedding, there will of course be tension. I wouldn’t say Prince William and Kate will be happy about a reunion, but it is just a chance for the whole family to get together for a positive event."It could be a good opportunity for this first reunion, when there is so much happy celebration around them and they’re not the focus of goings on. Regardless, I am sure the King will be happy to see his son. We know there is work going on behind the scenes to repair that relationship."For more news, follow us on Facebook and X but never miss the latest top headlines and sign up to our daily newsletter here.
