They are the heirs to the British throne, the beloved Prince and Princess of Wales.
Journalist Russell Myers has covered William and Kate for years and is the author of the new tell-all taking us behind palace walls, “William and Catherine: The Monarchy’s New Era — The Inside Story.”
“Extra” spoke with Myers, who says that six years after Harry and Meghan’s royal exit, and despite Harry telling Britain’s ITV he would like his family back, that is just not in the cards.
Myers commented, “He’s, first of all, said that he wanted an apology from his family, notably his father and his brother. He certainly won’t be getting that because of the way that things have happened over the last couple of years.”
“William is heading in a different direction,” Myers noted. “I think that the relationship hasn’t really got off the floor from where it has been at rock bottom."
According to Myers, “a real passage of time” is needed before things could get better between William and Harry.
What will it be like when Prince William takes over the throne from his father King Charles?
Myers predicted his coronation will be different, saying, “[He] definitely won’t want a coronation like his grandmother or his father. It will very, very much be slimmed down.”
Calling William and Kate the “most relatable royals,” Myers noted, “They’ll certainly have more of a focus on what it means for the public and how, sort of, accountable the royal family is in a wider sense."
