Woman, 50s, arrested after discovery of man's body

A woman in her 50s has been arrested following the discovery of the body of a man at a property in west Dublin yesterday afternoon. She has been detained at a garda station in Dublin. Shortly after 1.10pm, gardaí and emergency services responded to reports of a man, 50s, found unresponsive at a residence in Cookstown. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body was removed to the Dublin City Mortuary in Whitehall. A post-mortem examination on his body has concluded but the results are not being released for operational reasons. Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to come forward. They are seeking dashcam footage from those who were travelling near the junction of Second Avenue and Cookstown Way between 10pm on Thursday and 1.30pm yesterday.
