Watch: Gone in 30 seconds! Rapid sale of Longford property at auction

A former HSE property located on the Dublin Road just outside Longford town, sold for its opening bid of €190,000 within 30 seconds of going up for auction today, March 27.  The sale of the three-storey Hillcrest House by Galway-based O’Donnellan & Joyce Auctioneers was live streamed today with auctioneer Colm O'Donnellan leading the proceedings.  Colm O'Donnellan brings down the hammer on the sale of the house Addressing his sales agent Síobhra, who was liasing with a buyer on the phone, Mr O'Donnellan said he was going to start at €195,000 but was willing to sell at the guide price of €190,000. The house, which sits on a mature site of around 0.44 acres, extends to approximately 2,153sqft.  Previously, Hillcrest House operated as a 24-hour, nurse-staffed, high-support rehabilitation and recovery community residence since September 2012.  It is believed however to have first opened as a mental health community residence back around 2002.  Hillcrest House The residence has a kitchen, two living rooms, two office rooms, two toilet facilities, and five bedrooms. It also has a basement level as well as a fire exit from the top bedroom.
