Roseanna Ruane shares glimpse at 'slow' start to 2026 after social media hiatus
Roseanna Ruane has returned to social media following a three month hiatus, and shared a glimpse at the ‘slow living’ her family have been enjoying.
At the start of the year, the mum of the late Saoirse Ruane revealed she would be taking a step back from her social account and would be ‘back when the time feels right.’
The mum-of-two lost her eldest daughter Saoirse two years ago following a lengthy battle with Osteosarcoma.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Roseanna extended her thanks to social media users for ‘sticking around’ as she shared pictures and clips from the first three months of 2026.
Among the clips and pictures was selfies with daughter Farrah Rose and husband Ollie, a picture of Saoirse’s Garden, a picture of Farrah Rose with the family pup and a cake to commemorate Saorise’s second anniversary.
‘… the last 3 months,’ Roseanna shared, ‘We’ve been living slowly… thank you for sticking around.’

Friends and followers took to the comments to express their delight at seeing the Ruane family returning to their social media feeds.
One said: ‘The evening Saorise filled the TV with love for some reason this has had that same kinda feeling tonight on the internet.
‘So happy to see this little post. Missed ye xxxxx.’

Another echoed: ‘Missed ye. Hope you’re doing ok.’
A third added: ‘I was only thinking of you this evening, Take all the time you need we will always be here.
‘Dip in, dip out, never explain. Sending so much love.’
Last year, Roseanna spent a period of time in hospital due to what she called a ‘small but urgent procedure.’
The Galway mum has kept followers up to date on how the family have navigated the loss of Saoirse, who won the hearts of the nation during her Toy Show appearance in 2020.
At the time, Roseanna extended her thanks to the staff at University Hospital Galway for their aid, as she revealed she was ‘grateful’ to be over with the procedure.
‘I might talk about it sometime on here,’ she shared, ‘But for now I’m just glad to have it behind me and I’m so thankful for those who helped out.’
