Two sheep found dead in Larne in 'deliberate' attack, say PSNI
Two sheep have been found dead in Laren in what police say they believe to have been a 'deliberate incident'.Police received a report on Tuesday, 17 March, that two sheep had been found dead in a field in the Glenarm area. The PSNI have stated that the incident appears to have been caused deliberately, and was not done by another animal.A spokesperson for the PSNI said: "This is a senseless and cruel crime, and we would be keen to hear from anyone who noticed anything unusual in the area during the times above".The spokesperson also stated that they do not believe this incident is linked to what occured in Rostrevor last week.Last Saturday (14 March), a farmer found 13 lambs dead on his farm, with police believing their necks to be deliberately broken.A spokesperson from the PSNI said at the time that it was a "shocking crime".For all the latest news, visit the Belfast Live homepage here and sign up to our daily newsletter
