Holidayers have been warned to keep an eye on the weather forecast.
Spain’s Canary Islands are under a flood warning in the coming week.
Gran Canaria, Tenerife, and La Palma are all facing the threat of exceptionally heavy rainfall in the days ahead.
Weather expert Alan O'Reilly from Carlow Weather has been closely monitoring conditions across the popular holiday destinations and shared an update today highlighting the growing risk.
He said: "Weather warnings issued for the Canary Islands with over 500mm of rain possible in parts over the next week. Big variation though across the islands with North Tenerife forecast to see less than 50mm but over 500mm in the South.

"Lanzarote will see lowest amounts but strong winds across the islands."
Earlier this week, Alan had already issued an urgent alert for one island expected to be hit by particularly intense, “crazy” rainfall.
While much of Europe is forecast to remain relatively dry, the outlook is very different for the Canary Islands. La Palma, in particular, could receive close to 450mm of rain over the week.
He wrote: "Total rainfall for the next week shows many parts of Europe will see very little. However the amount of rain forecast for La Palma in the Canaries over the next week is crazy.
"Some other islands will see heavy rain too but not much for Lanzarote or Fuerteventura."
Over the weekend, he also highlighted the potential for significant rainfall across both the Canary Islands and Madeira.
As Ireland looks set to experience a period of high pressure in the coming days, southwestern Spain is expected to be affected by unusually low pressure.
This shift will drive heavy rain toward the western Canary Islands and Madeira. La Palma and parts of Tenerife are likely to face the greatest risk.
Those travelling to the tourist hotspots are told to keep a close eye on the weather forecast.
