From cosplay and crime fighters to movie stars and local heroes: FAN EXPO CLE 2026 made an impact

FAN EXPO Cleveland came through town this past Friday, March 13 through Sunday, March 15. The annual event attracted thousands to the Huntington Convention Center to celebrate all things pop culture, get a celebrity autograph, shop for souvenirs from popular tv shows, or just get into cosplay and dress as a favorite character and meet new characters. Headliners this year were William Shatner, the legendary Captain James T. Kirk from “Star Trek,” and Hayden Christensen, who portrayed Anakin Skywalker in “Star Wars: Episode II—Attack of the Clones” and “Star Wars: Episode III—Revenge of the Sith.” Additionally, Dean Norris, known for his portrayal of “Hank” from the “Breaking Bad” series, signed autographs and posed for photos, while the cast of “Reno 911!” mingled with the crowd and joked around, and actor Brendan Fraser mingled and signed autographs. Local groups and representatives also had a presence, including organizers of the Cleveland Asian Festival, Silk Road Cultural Collective, Cleveland Museum of Art Community Arts Center, Women of Letters: Cleveland, and Ghostbusters: Cleveland. For more than a decade, the show has been a perennial favorite among Cleveland fans. FreshWater photographer Reuben Kutash headed out to FAN EXPO to document some of the fun and zany antics going on.
