Derry man remanded after series of vehicles thefts and criminal damage

A man has been remanded in custody at Derry Magistrate's Court today charged with a series of vehicle offences.  Emmett Doherty (28) of Cashelmore Park in Derry appeared charged with a total of seven charges. He faced six charges of interfering with vehicles, criminal damage to vehicles and the theft of an items from a vehicle. All of the offences were said to have occurred on March 7 as well as another charge of obstructing police on the same date. Defence counsel Adam Laird said that there would not be any bail application at this stage.
