Prince William ‘rejects’ Harry’s new peace attempts – what it could mean for his future as King
The status of Prince Harry and Prince William’s feud has not changed.Royal expert Omid Scobie says that Harry has made repeated attempts to reconcile, but William is choosing to ignore him.Scobie thinks William’s avoidance of Harry might hint at the type of king he’ll be in the future.The royal rift between Prince William and Prince Harry has shown no signs of letting up whatsoever. To put things in perspective, royal expert Omid Scobie told People in 2023 said there was “no going back” with their relationship. Things haven’t changed much – if at all– in the years since, and the brothers’ feud remains unchanged.“Harry was still waiting for that moment of accountability from his brother — an opportunity to talk about many of the grievances that have built up to this point and be able to move on from that,” Scobie told the outlet in 2023.Fast forward to 2026, and “nothing has changed” between the brothers, Scobie has revealed. “The expectations and wants and wishes of Prince Harry are exactly the same as they were then – and none of them have been met.”The expert further explained that Harry has made “repeated attempts” to make up, but William has rejected them all and is “avoiding dealing with this matter whatsoever.” Scobie noted, “The ball has been in William’s court for some time now, and he’s chosen not just to knock it back, but to kick it in the other direction.”Should the rift between the brothers continue, Scobie believes that it might potentially reflect poorly on William’s skills when he finally ascends the throne.“As a future king, you would think that one of the things he should be able to navigate easily is family,” he added. “One day, he’ll be the head of the royal family; he’ll be the head of the Church of England. There’ll be a lot of things that he stands for, or will seemingly stand for.
