Staffordshire murder probe after man, 28, dead in car park

A murder investigation has been launched after a man was found dead in a car park. British Transport Police (BTP) are leading the inquiry following the Tamworth Railway Station tragedy.Tragedy struck at 2.20am on Sunday 8 March. A 28-year-old woman has been arrested.A BTP spokesman said: "British Transport Police has launched a murder investigation after a 28-year-old man was found dead at Tamworth Railway Station car park in the early hours of Sunday 8 March. Officers from Staffordshire Police were called to Victoria Road at around 2.20am following reports of a man being found unresponsive. The man was treated by paramedics but sadly confirmed dead at the scene. A 28-year-old woman was arrested and remains in custody."Senior investigating officer, Detective Inspector Marvin Bruno added: “Our specialist family liaison officers are providing support to the victim’s family and our thoughts remain with them at this time. We are urging anyone with any information or anyone who witnessed events leading up to the man’s death to get in touch with us.”Police are appealing for witnesses.
