Appeal after pipe bomb attack at Belfast home
The PSNI has appealed for information after a pipe bomb attack on a home in Belfast.Officers were alerted on Monday night at around 11:25pm after a pipe bomb type device had exploded at the front door of a house in the Sheskin Way area of east Belfast, causing damage to the door and windows at the property.A man and woman were inside the house at the time of the incident but were not injured. Police and ATO officers attended the scene and removed a number of items for examination. Cordons were in place at the scene overnight but have now been removed.A PSNI spokesperson said: “Detectives are appealing for information following the report that a device had exploded at Sheskin Way, east Belfast on Monday, 2 March.They added: “An investigation is underway and detectives would ask anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area or who has CCTV, doorbell or dash-cam footage which could assist them with their enquiries to contact them at Musgrave on 101, quoting reference number 1895 02/03/26.”A report can be submitted online using the non-emergency reporting form via here or you can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online here.Want to see more of the stories you love from the Irish Mirror?
