Which Ghostface Killed Each Victim In Scream 7
Spoiler alert! This article contains major spoilers for Scream 7. Scream 7 once again reinvents the Scream franchise’s favorite guessing game: who’s behind the Ghostface mask? With three Ghostface killers (Jessica, Marco, and Karl) working in tandem, the body count quickly becomes a puzzle for audiences to solve. Unlike previous installments, where murders were spread across days, this sequel compresses nearly all its carnage into a single chaotic night. That tighter timeline makes it much easier to trace each Ghostface’s movements and deduce who committed which crime. Alibis, locations, and character whereabouts give away far more than the killers might have hoped. Scream 7 also sees the long-awaited return of Sidney Prescott, the original final girl who once again finds herself targeted.
Scott & Madison Were Killed By Ghostface Jessica
Michelle Randolph in Scream 7
Scott and Madison’s deaths at Stu Macher’s infamous house-turned-Airbnb set the tone for Scream 7. The property is now a twisted museum dedicated to the Woodsboro murders and the Stab films that the young couple visit. Scott is repeatedly stabbed by what he believes is a Ghostface mannequin. Later, Madison plummets from a chandelier and lands on Ghostface’s waiting knife.

Why Scream 7 Fired Melissa Barrera Explained
One bold move by Melissa Barrera resulted in her high-profile firing from Scream 7, changing the franchise’s cast line-up and future direction.
While the identity of this particular Ghostface is never explicitly confirmed, all signs point to Jessica. Burning down the house aligns perfectly with her overarching plan to psychologically torment Sidney by destroying a key relic of her trauma. Though Marco or Karl could have carried out the attack under Jessica’s direction, the arson element feels distinctly personal and strategic.
Hannah Was Killed By Ghostface Marco
Hannah on a wire in Scream 7
Hannah’s shocking murder during rehearsal for the school play is one of Scream 7’s most elaborate sequences. Still dressed as a fairy and suspended midair by stage wires, she is brutally disemboweled. This is most likely Marco based on a process of elimination. Jessica has a firm alibi during this attack, as she is with her son Lucas, who quickly becomes a suspect. She openly provides their whereabouts to investigators to clear Lucas. Meanwhile, Karl is already hiding inside Sidney’s home, having secretly hidden in the attic some time before the attacks began. With Mindy and Chad unable to find any signs of a break-in, it’s clear Karl has been hiding up there for a while, at least before Sidney and the family leave the high school crime scene. That leaves Marco as the only Ghostface free to murder Hannah.
Aaron Was Killed By Ghostface Marco
Ghostface with a knife in Scream 7
Aaron, the school’s backstage technician responsible for operating Hannah’s wire rig, was killed before Hannah but discovered after. As part of the same spree, this must also have been Marco. Jessica is still accounted for with Lucas. While Karl, as previously established, is lying in wait inside Sidney’s home, positioning himself for a later ambush.
Sidney, Tatum & Mark Were Attacked By Ghostface Karl

The most personal attack in Scream 7 occurs when Sidney, Mar, and their teenage daughter Tatum are ambushed in their own home. This Ghostface doesn’t break in – he’s already there, having hidden in the attic space above the house. The suddenness of the assault and the killer’s knowledge of the layout make the encounter especially terrifying. After a brutal struggle, the family manages to overpower the attacker, who flees into the street – only to be struck by a car driven by Gale Weathers. When they unmask him, the truth is revealed definitively. The Ghostface in their home is Karl, a deranged multiple murderer obsessed with the Stab movies.
Mark Is Attacked By Ghostface Jessica
Joel McHale's Mark looking at something while Ghostface sneaks up in the background in Scream 7
Later in the night, Mark becomes the target once again – this time in the family garage. The attack is vicious and calculated. Mark is stabbed and ultimately kidnapped. With Karl already unmasked and dead in the street, he can’t be responsible. That leaves Jessica and Marco. However, Marco is busy working at the psychiatric center when he's visited by Sidney and Gale. As this is a couple of hours' drive away, it must have been Jessica who attacked Mark in his home.
Chad & Mindy Were Attacked By Ghostface Jessica
Chad and Mindy in Scream 7
Chad and Mindy’s brutal kitchen attack at the Tavern is one of the film’s most chaotic sequences. Both are slashed and stabbed in a frenzied assault, left bleeding out as Ghostface continues the Tavern massacre. By this point, Karl is dead, removing him from suspicion entirely. Meanwhile, Tatum is being stalked by a separate Ghostface on the street, narrowing down the available killers. Only one Ghostface is inside the Tavern at this time – responsible for attacking Chad and Mindy and killing Lucas and Chloe in quick succession. Considering what is later revealed about Lucas, the killer here must therefore be Jessica.
Lucas Was Killed By Ghostface Jessica
Lucas in coffee shop in Scream 7
Lucas’ death is one of the most shocking twists in Scream 7. In a horrifying moment inside the Tavern, Ghostface slams his head down onto a pointed beer pump, killing him in a gruesome, and wildly elaborate, way. During the epilogue, Jessica makes an off-hand remark that Lucas “had to go” because he was too much like his father – Jessica’s abusive husband.
That chilling line heavily implies she was responsible for her own son’s murder. Even more telling is the staging of the scene itself: after Lucas dies, Ghostface lingers for a brief moment, watching him. It’s subtle, but it suggests emotional weight behind the mask. Together, these suggest Jessica is the one who killed Lucas.
Chloe Was Killed By Ghostface Jessica
Tatum Evans and her friends in Scream 7
Chloe’s death unfolds during the same tavern rampage that claims Lucas. She’s chased frantically through the bar and into the kitchen, where Ghostface corners and kills her. Due to the tight window and concurrent crimes, there must only be one Ghostface acting in the tavern, which, because of Jessica’s comments of Lucas, suggests that Jessica killed Chloe also.
Ben Was Killed By Ghostface Marco
Ben Brown smiling in Scream 7
Ben’s death comes after he catches up with Tatum to insist he isn’t Ghostface. Ben seems poised to survive until he’s suddenly stabbed in the neck. At this stage of the night, Karl is long dead, and Jessica appears occupied at the tavern carrying out her spree. That leaves Marco as the only viable Ghostface available to intercept Ben.
Tatum Was Attacked By Ghostface Marco & Jessica
Isabel May as Tatum in Scream 7
Tatum’s attack at Sidney’s coffee shop is one of the few moments where Scream 7 makes it clear that multiple Ghostfaces are actively coordinating. Initially chased into the shop, Tatum is cornered and attacked in a tense, drawn-out sequence. Based on the timeline, this first attacker is almost certainly Marco. Jessica is still finishing her bloody work at the tavern, leaving Marco free to pursue Tatum. However, once the struggle, a second Ghostface appears to help kidnap her. By this point, Jessica has likely arrived from the Tavern, joining Marco. The sequence highlights how the killers’ plan converges in the final act of Scream 7.
