Huge Dunnes Stores bleach recall as every single bottle could pose serious danger
Shoppers across Ireland are being urged to check their cleaning cupboards after an urgent recall was issued for two popular bleach products.Dunnes Stores has pulled both the My Family Favourite Original Thick Bleach 2L and the My Family Favourite Thick Citrus Bleach 2L from sale.The recall, which was issued on February 13, comes after safety checks revealed a potentially dangerous fault with the bottles' lids.The retailer explained: "It has been identified in some bottles that the click-lock lid mechanism is not engaged and may make it easy to open."This could pose a risk of spills, chemical exposure and potential harm, particularly to children and pets. All batches are affected, meaning every single bottle has been recalled.Shoppers are advised not to use the affected products and instead return them to any Dunnes Stores supermarket for a full refund. No receipt is required.Dunnes Stores has apologised for any inconvenience caused.
