Kim Kardashian Reportedly Worried About Sydney Sweeney's Bras
Brianna Bryson/WireImageActress Sydney Sweeney announced her latest venture earlier this year, Syrn, a lingerie brand. Given her popularity, the launch reportedly has longtime thirst trap entrepreneur Kim Kardashian sweating Sweeney snapping up her business.
Similar to Kim Kardashian and Skims, Sydney Sweeney has been modeling all of Syrn’s lingerie looks herself, giving the brand massive attention on social media.
And while Kim Kardashian may be the Nolan Ryan of the modern understanding that “sex sells,” Sweeney is Doc Gooden (an explosive young talent who will likely let the fame derail them at some point) and is clearly the favorite to win this year’s lingerie Cy Young.
Sydney Sweeney’s branching out into lingerie reportedly has Kim Kardashian feeling ‘uncomfortable’
“Watching Sydney move into lingerie, and reportedly line up trademarks that could extend into cosmetics and skincare, feels uncomfortably close to her core territory,” an alleged source claimed, adding that “Kardashian has been ‘painfully aware’ of Sweeney ‘edging into industries Kim has worked hard to define.'” [via RadarOnline]
The early returns on Syrn have certainly been promising for Sweeney, with collections selling out almost as soon as they’re released. The latest collection, Midnight Snack, was officially released on Tuesday, February 17.
“I wanted to create a world and a feeling. I wanted to build a lingerie brand that feels like it understands women instead of talking at them,” Sweeney told Elle about creating the brand.
“Syrn is about confidence without pressure, feeling sexy, powerful, soft, playful, or all of the above, depending on the day. As the sole founder, my vision was to create something that lives in real life and doesn’t hold anyone back.”
Coming off of the success of The Housemaid, which has become the highest-grossing film of her career with over $300 million at the box office and led to the instant green-lighting of a sequel, Sweeney will next be seen in the third and final season of Euphoria, which premieres on HBO in April, and in The Devil Wears Prada 2, which hits theaters on May 1.
