Man ‘pronounced dead at the scene’ after police seal off road in Moray village
A man has been pronounced dead at the scene after an “ongoing incident” in a Moray village.Police sealed off a section of High Street in Fochabers to both pedestrians and traffic earlier today.Police closed Fochabers High Street for a number of hours on Tuesday morning. Picture: Daniel ForsythA Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.35am on Tuesday, 10 February, 2026, we were called to a report of concern for a man on High Street, Fochabers.“Officers attended and a 74-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.“There would not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal.”The road has now reopened.
