Netflix is adding another heavy hitter to its international sitcom library. The long-running Warner Bros. Television comedy The Middle, which first aired on ABC, is scheduled to arrive on the service in select international regions next month.
This addition is the latest in a wave of licensing deals between Netflix and Warner Bros. Discovery. Over the past year, we have seen the arrival of Young Sheldon, Two and a Half Men, and Mom perform exceptionally well in international markets. Now, the streamer is looking to replicate that success with the Heck family.
We can confirm that Seasons 1-9 (the complete series) of The Middle will be available on Netflix in select territories starting Wednesday, February 18th, 2026.

What is The Middle?
Originally airing on ABC from 2009 to 2018, the single-camera comedy was created by Eileen Heisler and DeAnn Heline. Despite airing on ABC, the show is produced and distributed by Warner Bros. Television, which facilitates this licensing deal, which has been aggressively licensing to Netflix in 2026 so far, both in the US and internationally, with some of their biggest library shows hitting the streamer. It comes as Netflix is in the process of buying all of Warner Bros. and its TV assets.
Narrated by the matriarch Frankie Heck, the series offers a realistic, often chaotic look at working-class life in the small town of Orson, Indiana. Unlike many of its contemporaries, the show was praised for its grounded depiction of financial struggles, balancing the humor with the genuine hardships of raising a family on a tight budget.
The official synopsis currently showing on Netflix reads:
“Small-town Indiana mom Frankie Heck and her husband Mike juggle work and home life while raising their three rambunctious kids in this heartfelt sitcom.”
Who is in the cast?
The series features a consistent main cast across its impressive 215-episode run:
Patricia Heaton (Everybody Loves Raymond) as Frankie Heck.
Neil Flynn (Scrubs) as Mike Heck.
Charlie McDermott as Axl Heck.
Eden Sher as Sue Heck.
Atticus Shaffer as Brick Heck.
The show also features recurring appearances by comedy veterans such as Chris Kattan and Norm Macdonald.
