I was like, dude, what the f**k, you didn't tell me, and then I was like, he's just done the one thing. Cause at that time, I was like that's not gonna last, is he gonna throw away this for that?' However, despite Jamie going behind Sam's back to date his now-wife Sophie several years ago, Sam believes that the couple were meant to be together and things 'happen for a reason'. He said: 'However, now, obviously you sit there and you go no it's why you said "you better goddamn get married" and you goddamn got married! You goddamn got married, you goddamn had a kid, and it just worked out perfectly, and I think sometimes, mate, I just think sometimes things are meant to happen.'I do think things happen for a reason, and I just think me not being on the show at that point, and you having the freedom and the space to really connect with somebody without the pressure of like one of my best mates being there.
