Man charged with murder after woman found dead at home in Ilford

Dalip Chadha, 57, of Applegarth Drive was arrested at the scene after police were called to an address on the same road on Tuesday (January 27) at 4am. Officers found a woman, 58, dead at the scene, reports London Now. While formal identification is yet to take place, the Metropolitan Police said the victim is believed to be Vanessa Puntney-Chadha. Following Chadha’s arrest, he will appear before Barkingside Magistrates’ Court today (January 28), charged with murder. Enquiries are ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to call 101, quoting crime reference 761/27JAN.
