BJMP: 3 jails readied for Atong Ang

MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) on Monday said it prepared three of its facilities for businessman Charlie “Atong” Ang. Ang is wanted for kidnapping charges before courts in Santa Cruz, Laguna, and Lipa City, Batangas, in connection with the disappearance of at least 34 cockfighting aficionados (sabungeros). “Naghanda na kami ng tatlong facility diyan: Santa Cruz District Jail, Lipa City Jail at San Pablo City Jail.
