Man suspected of leading Ireland's top crime gang arrested at Dublin Airport
The man suspected of leading Ireland's biggest crime gang is in custody tonight - after armed gardai arrested him at Dublin Airport.The Irish Mirror has learned that the criminal - suspected of leading the outfit known as The Family - was arrested on Sunday evening at Dublin Airport.He was arrested by armed detectives from the Garda National Drugs and Crime Bureau - the force’s main anti-gangland unit.We have established that the criminal, from the Clondalkin area of Dublin, is to appear in court in the city on Monday morning.Sources say he is to face a charge of directing a crime gang - an offence that can carry a sentence of up to life upon conviction.Gardai have been targeting the Dubliner for years - as they believed he led The Family, which makes millions of euro a month from the drugs trade.It is now the Garda Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau’s main target and makes at least €10 million a month from selling cocaine, heroin and cannabis on the streets of Dublin.
