Just four days after being dumped out of the playoffs, a bizarre theory surrounding Houston Texans star CJ Stroud and his recent struggles has emerged. On Sunday night, Stroud and the Texans fell to a 28-16 defeat to the Patriots in their divisional round game at the Gillette Stadium, bring an abrupt end to their season.The Texans star was outclassed by Patriots star Drake Maye on the night and, shortly after, Stroud was on the receiving end of a social media drubbing by fans.The former No. 2 overall NFL draft pick completed just 20 of his 47 passes and threw four interceptions. He threw for 193 yards and just one touchdown. As the dust settles on his disappointing performance, UFC star Derrick Lewis - a Houston native and die-hard Texans fans - has offered his take on the situation. Lewis, who will fight at UFC 324 on Saturday night, was asked: 'What moves would you like to see the Texans make for next season?' Back in 2024, Stroud made headlines after being spotted alongside influencer and model Amber Rose - who famously dated Kanye West between 2008 and 2010.The duo were seen together at Travis Scott's charity softball game in February that year, which quickly sparked rumors that they were an item. However, Rose took to Instagram after to deny any romantic connection between the pair, saying she didn't even know the newly-crowned Offensive Rookie of the Year and that he was merely giving her a ride home.'We literally don't know each other and only met yesterday at a softball game,' Rose began. Rose is 18 years Stroud's senior.Just five days prior to that, Stroud had also been spotted in Kim Kardashian's box at Super Bowl LVIII where he watched the Chiefs defeat the 49ers on the day. Meanwhile, following their defeat on Sunday night, questions are being asked over Stroud's credentials and whether he's the right man to take the Texans forward. The franchise has never progressed past that round in its history.The game's other quarterback, Maye, threw three touchdown passes and Marcus Jones returned one of Stroud´s four interceptions for a score as the Patriots advanced to the AFC championship game for the first time in seven years.The Patriots will make their 16th conference championship game appearance and first since their run to their sixth Super Bowl title under Bill Belichick in the 2018 season. Maye finished 16 of 27 for 179 yards, but had an interception and fumbled four times, losing two in cold conditions in which snow and rain fell throughout the game. One of Maye´s fumbles set up Houston´s first touchdown.
