UK weather chaos as Met Office pinpoints where snow to fall in England
An amber weather alert has been issued for central and northern Scotland from 11am Tuesday to 7pm the same day. Travel delays on roads are likely, stranding some vehicles and passengers, and some delays and cancellations to rail and air travel are likely.There is a good chance that some rural communities could become cut off. There is a good chance that power cuts may occur, with the potential to affect other services, such as mobile phone coverage.The Met Office said that injuries from slips and falls are likely on icy surfaces, and untreated pavements and cycle paths are likely to become impassable.As a result, the weather bureau has advised Scots to exercise caution during the inclement weather. The amber weather alert covers the following regions and local authorities: Angus, Perth and Kinross, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Moray, and Highland.
