Men guilty of terror plot that could have been ‘deadliest in UK history’

Two men have been found guilty of plotting what police said could have become one of the deadliest terror attacks in British history. Following a five-month undercover counter-terrorism operation, a jury convicted Walid Saadaoui of planning an Islamic State-inspired mass shooting targeting Greater Manchester’s Jewish community, alongside his co-conspirator Amar Hussein. Saadaoui’s brother was also found guilty of knowing about the plot and failing to alert police. Harry Fawcett reports.
