Dublin senior club appoints legendary 1995 All-Ireland winner as new football manager

A senior football club in Dublin has appointed a hero of the boys in blue’s 1995 All-Ireland winning team as their new manager.The Skerries Harps club will compete in the 2026 Senior 1 Football Championship and Football League Division 1 next year having won the 2025 Senior 2 Championship last month.And the progressive north county Dublin team have now announced former Dublin star Paul Curran as their Men’s Senior Football manager for the coming year.The Tallaght native is considered one of the capital’s finest footballers of all-time and won three All Star awards as well as helping Dublin lift Sam Maguire in 1995.He also won three back-to-back Dublin senior football titles as a player with Thomas Davis and was also a member of the Dublin team that won the National Football League in 1991 and 1993.Since turning to management Curran has also been a big success, leading Ballymun Kickhams and Clann na nGael to Senior Championships in Dublin and Roscommon respectively.Curran also managed Dunshaughlin to Intermediate Championship success in Meath, as well as scoring back-to-back wins in Dublin SFC2 with Cuala.
