Minister quizzed as unemployment rises to 5.1%
The UK's unemployment rate has risen to hit 5.1% in the three months to October - up from 5% in the three months to September.
It had stood at 4.1% when Labour took office in 2024, promising a focus on growing the economy and protecting "working people" from tough fiscal choices.
