Shadow chancellor 'not surprised' as unemployment hits 5.1%
Shadow chancellor Mel Stride has told Sky News that he's "not surprised" that latest figures show a rise in unemployment.
It had stood at 4.1% when Labour took office in 2024, promising a focus on growing the economy and protecting "working people" from tough fiscal choices.
