Helicopter footage of the pursuit shows the car hit a guardrail along a Highway 101 interchange before the driver pulled over near the Baker Avenue off-ramp.“Deputies conducted a high-risk stop and detained the vehicle’s occupants one at a time,” the sheriff’s office said. “During the stop, [the helicopter] observed a passenger throw an object from the vehicle using its thermal imaging system. Deputies were later directed to the item, which was identified as a cellphone.”Inside the car, deputies found a “large amount” of stolen mail, the sheriff’s office said. All four people inside the car were booked into the Sonoma County Jail for various criminal charges.
