Architecture firm MCA to merge with Germany's TTSP HWP
Irish architecture firm MCA and German data centre advisory company TTSP HWP will merge to create a fully integrated European group for the design, engineering and project delivery of large and complex data centres.
The two firms will operate under a joint leadership structure and align their workforce and strategies to serve hyper-scalers and global digital-infrastructure clients across Europe.
Alexander Hauser, CEO of TTSP HWP, will serve as CEO of the combined group, working closely with MCA’s leadership as part of a shared governance model.
The grouping will have offices in Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Cologne and Dublin and more than 240 professionals across architecture, engineering, master planning and project management.
MCA has more than 35 years of experience as well as expertise in high-performance, sustainable design and a strong track record in mission-critical facilities.
"This is a major step forward for both firms. By moving from collaboration to full integration, we are creating a powerful European player with the scale, expertise and coherence required to support our clients across multiple geographies," said Brian Murphy, managing director of MCA.
"Our teams share the same values and ambitions, which is why this combination feels so natural.”
Gerry Murphy, executive director of MCA, said: “Working closely with TTSP HWP in recent years has shown the strength of what we can accomplish together.
"Operating as a single group will give our teams new opportunities and our clients greater consistency and value. It marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for all of us.”
TTSP HWP is also about to mark 35 years in business and is one of Germany’s foremost advisors in the data-centre sector, with extensive experience delivering complex facilities for global clients.
In January, TTSP HWP was acquired by Tikehau Capital, he global alternative asset manager with €51.1bn of assets under management, through its private equity decarbonisation strategy.
Tikehau Capital’s investment provides long-term support for the combined entity’s European expansion.
Alexander Hauser, CEO of the combined entity, said: “MCA is a highly respected practice whose expertise complements ours perfectly. As we build a pan-European leader in data-centre design and engineering, operating as one integrated group is essential.
"With a joint leadership structure and a shared strategy, we will deliver innovative, energy-efficient solutions for hyper-scalers and global clients while contributing to the sustainability of digital infrastructure in Europe.
