CarTrawler agree multi-year partnership with Ryanair

Car rental technology group CarTrawler has struck a major multi-year partnership with Ryanair, reconnecting two of Ireland’s largest travel brands in a deal aimed at boosting ancillary revenue and enhancing the airline’s digital offering. The agreement, announced today, will see CarTrawler supply the technology behind Ryanair’s car rental platform, integrating a wider range of providers and prices directly into the carrier’s website and mobile app. The move strengthens the travel tech firm’s position in the global B2B mobility market while supporting Ryanair’s strategy of expanding high-margin add-on services. Ryanair, which has flown 207 million passengers this year, continues to grow its dominant short-haul network. The airline’s focus on low fares and high efficiency has helped cement its status as one of Europe’s most commercially influential carriers. Ryanair CEO Eddie Wilson said: “We’re pleased to announce our new partnership with CarTrawler. “CarTrawler delivers great value with an outstanding range of car rental options at competitive prices, fully integrated into the Ryanair booking journey. “Ryanair passengers already enjoy the lowest fares in Europe and this new product will offer them the best value with our price match guarantee.” Passengers booking flights will now see rental options powered by CarTrawler’s Connect Platform, a cloud-based system the Irish tech firm has developed through extensive investment in recent years. The integration is designed to streamline the booking process, improve conversion and broaden customer choice with access to leading international and regional car rental brands at exclusive rates. CarTrawler CEO Peter O’Donovan described the deal as a milestone for the company. “Ryanair’s decision to partner with CarTrawler is a powerful endorsement of our industry-leading Connect Platform, which delivers unparalleled results for our airline partners. Peter O'Donovan, CarTrawler CEO “We’re delighted to be reuniting with Ryanair to build a long-term, mutually successful partnership and to provide their customers with world-class car rental offers and exceptional value.” The renewed partnership highlights Ireland’s growing influence in aviation and travel technology, combining Ryanair’s scale with CarTrawler’s specialised software to deliver greater flexibility and savings for millions of travellers each year.
