Meghan Markle reportedly had a brutal reaction to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor when she first met him in 2016. Meghan, who officially joined the Royal Family in 2018, began dating Harry two years prior - with the royal soon introducing his new then-girlfriend to his family.Prince Harry previously revealed that Meghan was unaware of his disgraced uncle - even mistaking him for a member of staff rather than a family member. Writing in his memoir Spare, Harry shared: "After a moment, Meg asked me something about the Queen’s assistant." Initially having no idea who Meghan was referring to, the 44-year-old continued by telling Harry, "that man holding the purse. That man who walked her to the door".According to US Weekly, she was referring to Andrew, who is the second-born of the late Queen Elizabeth II - and still eighth in line to the British throne.Referring to previous reports that Meghan had researched the royals, Harry added: "She definitely hadn’t Googled us."Meghan and Harry reportedly had lunch at Royal Lodge with Andrew, Sarah Ferguson, Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank during this meeting.Describing the meeting, Harry wrote: "It was all very pleasant."Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is no longer listed as the Duke of York on the Royal Family's website, having been stripped of the title last month amid the scandal involving their connection to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.The 65-year-old will also soon move out of his home of 22 years, a property he had been sharing with Sarah Ferguson.Sarah will also be moving out of the 30-room property, with her York title having been stripped due to her own connection to Epstein.
