Alexandra Daddario Suits Up As Wonder Woman After Her Recent Diana Prince Comments In New DC Art
Alexandra Daddario becomes the Wonder Woman of the DC Universe in new DCU art that showcases how the fan-favorite pick for the role would look great as Diana Prince. Now that we know Gal Gadot will not be coming back to her DC role, with a new Wonder Woman movie in development for the DCU, the race is on for her replacement. James Gunn's DCU has yet to set a release date for the new Wonder Woman movie, but Supergirl scribe Ana Nogueira is writing it right now, and the film will go into production once Gunn is happy with the finished script. Of all the popular casting choices to play Wonder Woman in DC's upcoming movie, Daddario has become a fan-favorite. On DeviantArt, user @marcelorabello shared what Alexandra Daddario could look like as DC's new Wonder Woman.

The fan art gives Daddario a very different suit from the one Gadot wore in the DCEU movie franchise. While Wonder Woman's classic red and gold corset, bracelets, tiara, and the Lasso of Truth are present, the skirt and blue elements are gone for black leather pants and a jacket. Daddario's Wonder Woman looks more modern.

While the fan art is exciting, showing that Daddario would look perfect as Wonder Woman, it bears no connection to DC Studios. However, the actress' recent DC comments are enough to make fans' excitement about her possibly taking on the role skyrocket. Speaking with ScreenRant in October, Alexandra Daddario addressed her DCU Wonder Woman casting rumors. The actress was asked about all the fan art that has emerged of her as Wonder Woman and other DC characters, with Catwoman being mentioned. While Daddario revealed that she had not been keeping up with that, the former Percy Jackson franchise star claimed she was "flattered to hear that it's happening." Daddario also spoke directly about joining Gunn's DC Universe. The fan-favorite choice to play DC's new Wonder Woman would love to be part of what Gunn is building at DC, saying, "Of course, working with James Gunn would be amazing in any capacity." With Daddario up for playing Wonder Woman or simply joining the DCU in another role, fans are closer to their dreams of seeing the actress finally play a superhero.
Why Alexandra Daddario Perfectly Fits The DC Universe As Wonder Woman

Daddario's past at DC could help her land the Wonder Woman role. She is the voice of Lois Lane in DC's animated Tomorrowverse franchise. Gunn is well aware of that universe, as the Tomorrowverse's Supergirl actress, Meg Donnelly, ended up being the runner-up for the DCU version of Supergirl, screen testing for the role, but losing it to House of the Dragon's Milly Alcock. Daddario has the chops to play a major DC character like Wonder Woman, with her Lois Lane being as confident and determined as Diana Prince should be. While Daddario is 39, the actress could easily pass as being the same age as Superman actor David Corenswet, who is 32, or close to it. As such, I hope she auditions for DC's new Wonder Woman.
