US chemical supplier ChemPoint opens new HQ in Dublin
US chemical supplier ChemPoint has opened its new Europe, Middle East, and Africa headquarters in Dublin, with the launch of ChemPoint Ireland.
The company, which is a subsidiary of Univar Solutions, specialises in the distribution of chemicals and ingredients.
ChemPoint said it has already hired a number of employees in the greater Dublin and it plans to add more roles.
The positions will span a number of areas including technical sales and market development, customer service, supply chain operations, regulatory and quality, and product management.
ChemPoint President and CEO, Austin Nichols, said the opening of the new Dublin operation represents "the first step in executing our strategic growth plan within EMEA."
"Dublin offers unparalleled access to exceptional talent and serves as a convenient hub for international travel connectivity, enhancing our ability to meet with customers, engage with supplier partners, and attend industry conferences and events to stay abreast of market trends."
The Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment, Peter Burke, said the investment is "a strong endorsement of Ireland's reputation as a hub for innovation, talent, and global business."
"This investment not only brings high-quality jobs to our economy but also strengthens our position in the specialty chemicals sector," he added.
The Chief Executive of IDA Ireland, Michael Lohan said: "Ireland remains a strong location for companies looking to expand into Europe and this decision to locate in Dublin underscores Ireland’s attractiveness as a location for global solutions providers.’’
ChemPoint said it works with more than 70 supplier partners and over 200 product lines across the world.
