A California resident has sparked hilarious online reactions after calling the police because they saw a 'dead' elephant on someone's front lawn. It all began when the Palms Springs Police Department received a concerning phone call from a terrified citizen on Thursday.They claimed they has a dead elephant outside of a home and requested help urgently. Animal control rushed to the property to respond to the outlandish 911 call. But when authorities arrived, they were in for a surprise. 'Animal Control sprang into action, only to discover that this “fallen giant” was in fact… a wind-toppled yard statue,' the police department revealed in a humorous social media post. 'No tranquilizers were needed, no stampede protocols activated.
