Mayoral candidates made their final appeals to voters across the capital on Sunday ahead of municipal election day. CTV's Josh Marano reports that mayoral contenders Alex Lawson, Jeff Leiper, Neil Saravanamuttoo and Mark Sutcliffe fanned out across wards from Kanata to the ByWard Market before voting locations open Monday morning; five soldiers arrived at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on Sunday morning after completing a gruelling 156-kilometre walk to support military families impacted by the fatal training fire at CFB Wainwright. CTV's Kimberley Johnson speaks with Pte. Nathan Thomas and Pte. Logan Toupin, who trekked continuously for 35 hours on one hour of sleep from CFB Petawawa to raise $10,000 for victims and survivors; and hundreds of runners gathered at Wesley Clover Parks on Sunday morning for the inaugural Hybrid Heart trail race in support of cancer patients and local support services.
