‘CALIFORNIA ON IRAN’S RADAR’: Newsom Warns After Trump’s LA-San Diego Slip; Vance & Rubio ‘SILENT’

California Governor Gavin Newsom has escalated his response to Donald Trump’s controversial Los Angeles and San Diego remarks, warning that foreign actors could interpret the president’s words as putting California in danger.

Newsom called Trump’s remarks “dangerous — if not treasonous” and said they were “putting a target on two of our biggest cities and one of America’s largest naval hubs.” He also directed California’s State Threat Assessment Center to actively monitor the situation in case hostile foreign actors interpret Trump’s comments as an invitation to target the state.
