HUGE! U.S. Again REFUSES To Fight With Houthis; MBS Scrambles For Help Amid Saudi's Yemen Offensive

The United States is reportedly providing Saudi Arabia with intelligence and targeting assistance as Riyadh and Yemeni government forces prepare a major counteroffensive against the Houthis, according to Axios. The operation is aimed at pushing Houthi forces away from strategic territory along the Red Sea coast and the Bab al-Mandeb Strait. Saudi officials reportedly wanted Washington to go further. Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman asked US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth for American airstrikes, while Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman had previously urged President Donald Trump to authorize strikes as Houthi forces advanced towards Bab al-Mandeb. Washington declined both requests. US officials say America is taking no “kinetic action for now,” although roughly 200 American military personnel are reportedly providing non-kinetic support in Saudi Arabia. Axios reports CENTCOM opposed another US bombing campaign, viewing Yemen as a potential distraction from Washington’s military focus on Iran and the Strait of Hormuz.
