A local mayoral candidate is promising to fly the Palestinian flag at city hall if elected this fall. CTV's Natalie van Rooy reports that Neil Saravanamuttoo wants to make his stance clear because people in the community are deeply concerned about the conflict in Gaza. Mayor Mark Sutcliffe says questions regarding the long-standing flag policy should be directed to the municipal office of protocol. Fellow candidate Alex Lawson adds that he believes only local, provincial and national flags should be raised on municipal grounds.
