Daniel Kinahan is to apply for bail in the coming weeks, the Special Criminal Court has heard.



The 49-year-old appeared in court today charged with directing the activities of a criminal organisation between 18 October 2015 and 6 April 2017.



His solicitor, Darragh Mackin, said he will "vehemently defend" the case.
