Daniel Kinahan, who's awaiting trial on an alleged organised crime offence, is to apply for bail in the coming weeks.



The 49-year-year-old appeared at the Special Criminal Court today charged with directing the activities of a criminal organisation between October, 2015 and April, 2017.



His solicitor said he will vehemently defend the case.
