In other words, staying awake until midnight on Wednesday will not accomplish much beyond making you sleepy before the game actually launches, so get to bed.

All three editions are due to unlock together, so purchasing the Digital Deluxe or Ultimate Edition will not let players begin fighting ahead of the Standard Edition crowd.
The premium versions provide additional content instead. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the Year 1 Characters and Stage Pass, containing four post-launch characters and one stage, alongside Howard the Duck and Cosmo lobby cosmetics.
The Ultimate Edition includes that content along with five additional costumes and an animated Chromatic color option for the game’s 20 launch characters.
What platforms is Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls on?Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls launches for PlayStation 5 and Windows PC. The PC version will be sold through Steam, while no Xbox Series X|S or Nintendo Switch edition has been announced.
The game comes from Arc System Works, the studio behind Guilty Gear Strive and Dragon Ball FighterZ, and swaps the traditional one-on-one setup for 4v4 tag-team battles.
Its launch roster contains 20 Marvel heroes and villains divided into five teams, with Spider-Man, Wolverine, Storm, Iron Man, Doctor Doom, Deadpool, Loki and Ghost Rider among the available characters.
Alongside local and online fights, Marvel Tōkon includes a single-player Episode Mode presented through fully voiced motion comics. Its online lobbies can also hold up to 64 players, who can meet, customise avatars and arrange matches.
Just do not expect to start any of that at midnight. Unless you live in Japan, Korea or parts of Australia, in which case midnight is almost exactly when the fight begins.
